First Haircut!!!

Well first one at the salon. We went to see Pauline today at Shear Irish for a quick cut. Nate wasn't having any part of it. But Pauline is good and pulled out the clippers and that interested him. I did have to hold him down, but she pulled out a lolly pop. He was mad but when he tasted the yummy goodness, he was a bit happier. He would cry and then take a lick, cry, take a lick. It was priceless!! :0)

He got hair all over his face. She sprayed some water to get the stickiness from the lollypop off and he was all upset!!

And then I had mine done too!!!

BEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was busy cleaning in the kitchen this morning. I hear Nate saying "Beans". I first thought he found a can of beans in the cabinet. No, he was searching through the bag of trail mix. One would hope their 2 year old would want the raisins, right? No, he was going through the bag taking out the M&M's!!!

Barbary Coast Trail

So we headed out early today for a little walking tour of the Barbary Coast Trail. We decided to take the Muni into the city. Nate just loves trains so we were sure he would love a ride on the Muni. It wasn't his first time but he was 9 months old when I took him into the city last on Muni. He was mezmerized to say the least. The only thing he said was "door open". Now he's looking at the picture telling me that Nate is on the train!!

These were the markers we followed.

We passed by this shop on Powell street that had all sorts of crazy furniture and decorations. Nate did not like this bench with the 3 monkey's at all!!!

Much of the walk we did was through Chinatown. Nate was getting tired and wasn't sleeping so we cut it short after lunch in North Beach.. We'll continue from there next time.

This was in Portsmouth Square in Chinatown. These people were playing cards. There were tons of people just hanging around or reading their papers.
We stopped at the Stinking Rose for lunch. On our way back down to Market street he fell asleep. I think he had a good day!

New Camera!!!!

It's been awhile since I updated our blog and mostly because our camera was crapping out on us. But no more!! Jim gave me a gift card to Best Buy for mother's day and I decided I would get a new camera. So I've been asking around and researching online and I finally broke down and bought a new cannon camera. What a huge difference in the quality of pictures. We went to the River over the 4th of July weekend. Here are some great pictures we took of the little man...
Trying out his new bike seat. He was a little unsure at first but he really likes it. And he actually left his helmet on!!!

Playing in Monte Rio beach. He saw other kids with little rafts and tubes and wanted one. Luckily the beach had little ones to rent. He was so happy with himself!!! He also didn't like this swimsuit but it had to be done because he has a love for the water and he jumped in a pool just as I was coming to get him.

He wanted so bad to play in with these little kids. The boy in the middle had the same truck as him and they were both confused.

Later that night we were all sitting outside by the firepit eating smores. Nate loved the smores. It was late and time for bed but he just had to ride his bike!

Sitting on the deck after Church with grandma drinking his milk.

"No Daddy - Mine" He was so mad at Jim for even thinking he could come into his pool.

On our last day we went to the Rio Nido Pool. We hope to go back soon because we had a lot of fun!! Lots of kids and toys to play with in the baby pool.

Swimming in the big pool with mommy. He didn't like the other kids splashing.

And one last picture for now. I love his eyelashes.
