Pat-A-Cake

This was priceless. I was sitting outside on the deck and I could hear all this commotion inside. I didn't know what they were doing exactly. Then I was called in for this performance. Too cute!! He still sings the song with all the hand gestures. He has gotten better since his first night!

Party at Auntie Babe's!!

Jim's cousin Anthony came here recently for a visit. We all got together at Auntie Babe's house for dinner. Here he is with Mary's friend Anna.

Having fun with Auntie Anne Marie

Cousin Anthony and Grandma.

Being silly.

More shopping

Trader Joes in Stonestown ( my new favorite Trader Joes by the way) now has the little shopping carts! When we shop together we have to have 2 carts! Nate has to fill his cart. Bringing Nate grocery shopping certainly adds to my budget!!!

I didn't get that many pictures on this shopping trip. It turned out to be very exciting. As we were picking out our groceries, the fire alarm went off. We didn't know what to make of it but soon we heard the employees telling us to quickly evacuate! Here we are underground!! So we went upstairs and waited outside until the firemen gave the all clear. We were able to get back in and finish up our shopping. What an exciting trip to the Trader Joes!!!

Grandpa

When dad died I told Nate that Grandpa went to heaven to be with God. I told him that sometimes when you look at the clouds, if you look carefully you can see Grandpa peeking around the corner keeping an eye on you. Nate went through a little struggle of making this all out in his little mind. He then noticed the cross on Mt. Davidson which can been seen from our bedroom. He says to me "Mommy I see Grandpa -right there with God". So now he looks out the window at Grandpa and tells him he misses him. Sometimes he looks out the window and tells me grandpa is gone. Usually that is when the Fog is covering the cross! Twice year the cross is lit up. It is usually lit up on Easter but there was a bit of a fog cover this year so we couldn't see it. However, they did light it up on April 24th which is the anniversary of the Armenian genocide. We took a picture. I'm not sure if you can make it out. That cross means a lot more to us now than it ever did.

Easter!!

The Easter Bunny came to our house again this year. He brought Nate some new cars and trains and a new "laptop" computer. See below for Video from Easter Morning. After Church, all the Porter's came over here for Brunch. After that we went to dinner at the Kerrigan's with the Guiney's. We had fun-filled chocolate day!!!

Muni Ride

The day before Easter Jim took Nate on the new Muni line with Grandma and Auntie Babe and Anne Marie. They had a great time. Nate was so tired after the long ride.

Night Night Fire Truck

Nate decided his fire truck was tired and needed a blanket. His Thomas mat was the perfect blanket for Fire truck!

The Previous post

Ij just noticed the previous post was dated 4/23/09. I just uploaded it tonight though. I've been having problems with the laptop. This one is not much better as it's a netbook and the screen is about 8 inches. It's difficult to say to the least.

We've been having a lot of fun all things considered. We put Nate into daycare shortly before dad died. He likes it very much. He needed a sleeping bag. Stupidly, I asked him what kind of bag did he want and showed him some online. He wanted the Thomas bag. We ended up at Joann's fabrics. This was the end result.
